Bankroll Management: Betting Responsibly

Bankroll

Bankroll management means treating the money you’ve set aside for betting as a fixed, separate budget — never money you need for bills, savings, or anything else.

A common guideline is to risk no more than 1-5% of your total bankroll on any single bet, which naturally limits how much a losing streak can hurt you.

Set both a loss limit and a win limit for each session. Stopping when you hit either one — rather than continuing indefinitely — is one of the most effective habits for staying in control.

Ontario-licensed operators are required to offer deposit limits and time-outs directly in your account settings — using these tools proactively, before you feel you need them, is the most effective way to apply this in practice.
