Evolution in Ontario: Evolution is the company behind most of the live-dealer tables and game shows you see at regulated online casinos. Here is who makes the games, which titles are worth knowing, what RTP to expect and where you can play them legally in Ontario.
Who is Evolution?
Evolution was founded in 2006 in Sweden, is listed on Nasdaq Stockholm and is the largest live-casino supplier in the world. The group also owns slot studios such as NetEnt, Red Tiger, Big Time Gaming and Nolimit City, and the live studio Ezugi.
What are the best-known Evolution games?
- Lightning Roulette: European roulette with random multipliers of up to 500x on straight-up numbers (RTP 97.30% in the standard version).
- Crazy Time: money-wheel game show with four bonus games (RTP 95.50% to 96.08% depending on the bet).
- Monopoly Live: money wheel with a 3D board-game bonus round (RTP 96.23% in the standard version).

- Lightning Dice: three dice with random multipliers on totals.
What RTP should you expect from Evolution games in Ontario?
On live games the RTP depends on what you bet: in game shows every segment has its own return, and in blackjack it depends on your decisions. The 99.47% of Infinite Blackjack, for example, assumes perfect basic strategy. Not sure what RTP means? Read our RTP explainer.
Do Evolution games count toward bonus wagering?
Live-dealer games usually count only 0–10% toward a casino bonus’s wagering requirement, and sometimes nothing at all. Lightning Roulette has a house edge of 2.70%, but if it counts 10%, every $1,000 of wagering requirement means $10,000 of real bets and an expected cost of about $270. A slot with 96% RTP that counts 100% would cost about $40 for the same requirement. The formula is: expected cost = amount to wager × (house edge ÷ contribution %). You can run your own numbers in our wagering requirement calculator.
